MBG designed, fabricated, transported, and installed this 119,408 sq.ft. pre-engineered building with ten(10) 8 tonne cranes for the Surrey Langley Skytrain precast concrete guideway production facility. Design and permit approvals, fabrication and installation were all fast-tracked for critical path schedule. 675 tons of steel requiring 48 trucks, delivered in 4 phases over 4 weeks (roughly 3 trucks a day). The complete building with dimensions of 136’ wide x 878’ long x 43’ high was installed in 119 days through the winter. The scope included, among other items, all structural steel members and bracing, roof and wall cladding, overhead crane runway beams, and rails.
