Recent Metal Building Projects
Prairie Coast Equipment – Kamloops, BC
Location: Kamloops, BC
Size: 18,600 sq.ft
Winner of the 2014 Varco Pruden Hall of Fame. This John Deere Dealership (Prairie Coast Equipment) features VP Continuous Beam Framing System, Standing Seam Roof System in Galvalume, Vee Rib Wall System in Cool Granite Gray, with a block exterior. The building also features flat and curved stepped parapets around the show room area, and a mezzanine in the parts area, curved aluminum fascia, store front glazing, and custom entrance way arched HSS tubing.
Westhill Sports Box – Port Moody, BC
Location: Port Moody, BC
Size: 20,188 sq.ft.
The City of Port Moody received partial funding from the provincial Ministry of Community Support and Cultural Development’s Community Recreation Program to replace the 37 year old existing lacrosse box. The Metal Building Group was awarded the design, supply and installation of the Roof Structure. The multi-sport Westhill Sports Box features Clearspan Rigid Frames, a 26 gauge Panel Rib Roof System, cross rod bracing, and LED lighting.
Fort St. James Green Energy Project
Location: Fort St. James, BC
Size: 30,000 sq.ft.
36.8 MW Biomass Power Plant with Iberdrola Energy Projects Canada and owner Dalkia/Fengate. MBG Buildings Inc. is supplying and installing 7 buildings including the Steam Turbine, Electrical/Administration, Warehouse, Receiving, Screening, Parking, and Gate House Buildings. MBG scope includes the structural steel, mezzanine decking, stairs and access ladders, overhead bridge cranes, insulated metal panels, electrical (high bay lighting, heat tracing, lightening protection), translucent wall panels and other accessories.
Andrew Sheret Warehouse – Courtenay, BC
Location: Courtenay, BC
Size: 7,800 sq.ft.
This building was built for Andrew Sheret’s new retail location in Courtenay, BC. The building features a Standing Seam Roof system, flat faced accent panels and architectural canopies. To give an old building new life MBG also installed new metal panels and trims onto the existing block building.
Bartle & Gibson – Nanaimo, BC
Location: Nanaimo, BC
Size: 11,500 sq.ft.
This building was built for Bartle & Gibsons new retail/warehouse facility in Nanaimo, BC. The building features a Standing Seam Roof system, two color wall panels, steel mezzanine system, architectural canopies and exterior architectural structural steel.
